your project seems very interesting, i would like to help if only i had the time. however i know that some of the Eye of Beholder graphics, alas, pc version, had been ripped and rewamped along all the gold box serie (pool of radiance and such) for the Ultimate Adventures sets and were publicly available for modding. there was this master list of links; i do not find it anymore, but maybe somene has mirrored the files.

these are also my games referement; i would like to produce a new game based on those game feelings; in a related way i would like to ask you to get in AGF, the project to create new amiga games here in Eab, if you are interested, as - if we ever get to finish one game - we will consider also porting.
about Eob games: i tought each level type had a complete set of walls already provided of furniture. for a plain wall there is for instance the wall with black statuette or painting. however when the graphics were ported to UA maybe was at that time that the complete sets were created while in the original game the furniture worked as you said. i'm not sure; when you get them please post the results |

It`s in AM mode so each sprite has to be ripped separately.
4 bit planes pallette S 87896.this is what I ripped about 2 mins ago from your savestate Edit:set width to 32 for the characters but they all have different heights,(hence the reason that they are ripped separately)Hope this helps. Last edited by gifgit; 12 July 2009 at 12:43. |

Firstly you must rip one sprite at a time, next you use the cursur keys to line up your sprite in the top left box.If the sprites next to it look right but don`t line up with the first one then use R and F to bring them in line.
Edit:always find your sprite in 1 bitplane first, then add bitplanes once the height is correct. |

Hired Guns:
As far I remember all files on the disks are RNC compressed, so you have to decompress them by some tool on Amiga (there are plenty of those), or on PC,(I think you can do this even by MultiRipper). On HG disks there is already some kind of gfx converter to make custom gfx, if it can help you to find which files are gfx ones. Dungeon Master 2, Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore: There are plenty of tools to rip Gfx from those games - I used a PC versions, but the data seems to be kept in similar way. Captive, Perihelion: If you consider smaller tiles, there were tiles from both of those games PS: There are many Dungeon Master clones which uses simple BMPs as a tiles. |

If you're using GfxRip to get wall tiles...
The wall image is flipped verticallly ingame so only expect to find the top half of any wall tile Xwidth : 80 Yheight: 40 Bitplanes: 4 Mode: AM Each wall tile is a fair bit apart from each other and i've not seen them closer... I'm also using the HD version, which I guess may have some sort of impact on what goes where in memory.. I hope this helps somehow... |

Upon surfing another thread i found a relevant link which may help in getting GFXs and stuff...
http://www.efd.lth.se/~f98ani/amiga/hiredguns/ It contains a Map Editor and various other resources which could be very useful indeed!! |

This reminds me I used this tool to make a HG clone - never finished, though.
The map is still good old Level1. http://blindfold.republika.pl/projec...hired/main.htm Very crappy, but it was before my... ehm full time job. I think the biggest mistake was to rearrange game to be something else, not just HG. So I missed the main game design and was too tired to carry on. OK. Now to the point, If you are interested in "Dungeon Master 2" tiles, check this: http://dmweb.free.fr/Forum/read.php?f=8&i=197&t=178 or google a tool called "DM2AE" |

About Lands of Lore and Eye of the beholders ripping

"Dungeon Master 2, Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore: There are plenty of tools to rip Gfx from those games - I used a PC versions, but the data seems to be kept in similar way." Hi my friends , I am an Eye of the beholder freak gamer , I am not an Amiga gamer but I am interesting about Lands of Lore EOB1 EOB2 ripping program for PC or if there are some pictures for ripping I have made some ripps from this games I am creating a game remake like eye of the beholder but is in very early stage. Does anyone have a good programm to rip the graphics easier , I capture the graphics from screen and crop them with paintshop. All of these graphics are not the original , I have remake then. Just check http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=69 topics of EoB1 /Eob2 and ask the people. They are converting all gfx form PC version so they must have all resources. Also try to find "XWE editor" (...current download link doesn't work) blindfold Can you tell me where I can find graphics tool for Lands of Lore ? I need tool for especially animation files... I know there is "WestPak2" tool.. but is a crap . It's so bugged and unstable... I get always "fatal error"... btw: witam |

Some Horrorsoft graphics in response to another question. Posted here in the dungeon so as not to drag that thread off topic.

Also, was the one in this post complete of all its frame or were lacking the ones for movement and lateral? I ask because I never played LoL farther than the starting mazes. |
