Special Round 2 - Never Been Played Pool

This vote starts 30th April and ends at 23:59 (UK Time) on Saturday 13th May 2023.

Vote for up to 5 games, and rank them in order of preference 1st - 5th.
Each vote gives 10 points. At the end, the game with the most votes (or 1sts etc) wins.
Please choose games suitable for competition play.
If a game has ECS and AGA versions, state your preference. ECS is default.
Edited votes will not be counted.

Welcome to another special round. This time, instead of a list of 44 games you cannot vote for, the idea is to provide a list of games that we CAN vote for.

The list was compiled using, first of all, the 1st runner up games from previous votes - and the month/year of these 'almost won' games is listed by the side. I also choose some games, and john4p listed out another 15 or so titles, to make up the list of 44.

This is not an exhaustive list, and some games from last year have been replaced. There are quite a few great titles missing, and rare gems, but this is the pool we have chosen this year.

It was interesting to see the votes because most of these games almost made it into the compo in previous rounds.

It turned out to be another close thing in the end. EAB's favourite, Alien Breed, looked like it might take the top spot at one point. Speedball took the early lead. But for the majority of the time, it was Golf which lead almost the whole way. 2nd place is Golf. Great to see some support for Outrun Europa, and also Traps and Treasures, and even Pipe Mania. Not much love for my recent favourite Switchblade, or recent runners up Dynamite Dux, Dragon Breed or Apprentice.
