No, it's Musashi/Union, one of the most underrated democoders on Amiga IMHO. He coded for example Deformations which is still a pretty damn impressive A500 demo.

For the AGA HD speech version, which I've finished without any problems that is.

Not quite an "official distribution site", but simply the best Polish Amiga Portal
They've aquired the original game from the authors themselves while doing an interview.
But I think mailman could speak more, since he's the co-owner of this awesome site.
PPA aquired the rights to publish the titles gathered on the site. For every single game which we collected we have written permission from the authors or/and copyright holders. Unfortunately, some games need original manuals because of the existent copy protection (we are working on getting scans of the manuals as well), some other are not originals but cracks (due to lack of originals in hand - anyone who has originals which we don't have please contact with us). Nevertheless, everything you can find on PPA is fully legal and there is no danger of any kind infringement of copyrights.

Tried it as my first journey into the Teenagent realm
It hangs somewhere in the mansion, with a low-mem or/and sound issue so had to play that part silent, lol
Than played the Amiga version and I definitely prefer that one.

Hi sanguine and welcome to EAB!

PS: Are you the guy who contacted Xtense for help with Teenagent's file format a few months back?

Hey 5h00n4y
Yes, it was me that contacted Xtense a while back. Unfortunately the Amiga version of TeenAgent is currently a lower priority for support than the PC DOS versions, This is only due to my lack of knowledge about anything Amiga

Although I do plan to look at adding support for the Amiga versions it wont be until after the PC versions are supported and Metropolis have given the OK to release the engine in a public build of ScummVM.

As the situation stands right now Its going to be a while before anything other than a few blog posts and screenshots are released. Im currently trying to implement the font format though.

It seems the TeenAgent disks run in WinUAE quite well, however they seem to run some decompression routine and Im not sure what it is.
maybe someone on here can take a look.

Many thanks
Robert

Ah yes, t'was this thread on PPA that Extense himself asked about it.
Here's what I got on the subject (post #10), from DonAdan:
Quote:
"[...] Two kinds of XPK packers are used for the data, xpkSQSH (music and sounds) and xpkMASH (everything else). [...]"
As I'm not quite with those packers myself, here's the general search pattern on AmiNet, that *should* get you started.

But I'm sure some of our board programmers will help too!

Send a message via ICQ to andreas Send a message via AIM to andreas
Well, I have a working XPK setup, if that is needed, so if need be, I could unpack the stuff for you and fire it into the zone in uncompressed form.
(unless you can do that yourself, which I'm quite sure of )

Thanks andreas, yes, please, if you had some time to unpack all this stuff please do so and up it to the zone

Although I'm not quite sure if ScummVM is all about that, it's an interpreter, so I guess the SCUMM team would like it to *use* those files commonly available, so I guess it's up to sanguine here to... dunno... import the depacking routines from the package to Scumm? Well, I'm no programmerer, so ignore my stupidity, please

But hey, from my point of view of a simple user - if it works, it works - and that would be great.

Is it really an official release or an fan translation?
And another question: I have heard about a CD-version, does it really exists and is it an official release?

No, TeenAgent for Amiga was originally released only in Polish. It was based on original PC TeenAgent, developed by Union Systems for Metropolis and released by them for ECS and AGA.
Later there was CD version created, which used voices from PC CD version of TeenAgent.
It was released by Eureka I thnk... Then there was an English version prepared but not released.
