Is Atari ST version have different graphics than Amiga OCS/ECS?

To the best of my knowledge, the bitmaps of both Atari ST and Amiga OCS versions of ISHAR are completely identical (= 16 colors max).
That makes the difference between ISHAR OCS & ISHAR AGA really obvious (the AGA version was built on the graphics of the MS-DOS VGA version, probably).

In the case of Athanor 2, if you take the time to compare all versions, the STF, the OCS and now AGA have different graphics, and I don't see how I could get this result on the AGA version by a "simple reuse of old material"

All in all, I can completely understand that our choice of color on Athanor 2 is not your taste and that you expect an AGA game to deliver super colorful bitmaps. Won't happen here

I appreciate that you finally decided for the A1200 256 colors version. The communauty thanks you a lot for that move !
Indeed more colors... but sadly (for me) most of them are used for GUI. Graphics of locations in main windows just have more shades.

And that's bad info for me, because game is very good.

I can understand Your way with less dithering (that's main difference, isn't?), but I'm betting dollars against nuts that in future would be more opinions as mine. And maybe even more critic.

I said what I think and maybe we should over here. But mind that I'm not about colorfur patchwork. I'm saying about more contrast and wider palette, not holi festival.
Just saying.

Somehow It recall me subject of Rygar made by McGeezer. I can say now (as joke!) what some people was saying (in Rygar case not true) "I'm not seeing AGA requirement here"
Just wondering, how those graphics could look in EHB mode. I'm betting difference could be very minor.

"more blurry" ?
Softer, I can understand, as most of the dithering is gone.
But "blurry" ?

Anyway... some people will like this version, some other won't, that's the way things work and I'm fine with it.

When I heard about AGA version I was planning to order it. But when I saw this "enhancements" I just gone "disenchanted". Maybe It's reason why I'm writing all this.
I hope there are not too much people like myself, because it can cause lesser sales of AGA version.

Just answered and no more "nagging" from my side. I wish You very good sales of AGA version, but this is not for me, sadly.

Thanks for your nice comment.

The colors of the main view, gui, inventory objects, portraits and all kinds of sprites are not the only "enhancements".
Approx. 3 minutes of soundscape (made out of 150Kb of sounds) have been added to the game, in addition to the existing musics.
And I won't even mention the amount of changes I did in the source code to implement the AGA support

Lol, TRSI released a cracked (?) version of Athanor 2 OCS (or at least a cracktro) :

Unrelated to that, I found a series of old comparison between the STF, STE and Amiga OCS versions (because, you know, before some complained about the AGA version not being "AGA" enough, there was a discussion about the OCS not being "OCS" enough )

Consider your game as a good one since it got an intro from a well known group
Hope the one I plan to do will benefit such treatment
Regarding the pictures, even if both are 16 colours, I prefer the STE ones over the STF.

Is there a free demo version available for the OCS/ECS version of this game? If yes, I would like to add it to the 'Showcases' section of vAmiga.net:

Hello

Is the AGA edition still available? I tried contacting Eric but got no reply.
Furthermore, there does not seem any way to order it currently on the link shared above.
