Hello. I want to play an amiga game, but...
Hello everybody. I know it's very risque to start my own thread when I've just joined a forum but I can't help it.
I spent $30 getting the Amiga Forever Plus and I have WINUAE and I still can't get the darn dms file to work. I'm an absolute BEGINNER. I really enjoyed playing spaceward ho as a youngster and I randomly REALLY want to play it. I remembered how addicting and challenging it was. I really need help. There are two DMS files for the game from http://www.bebbosoft.de/ and I just can't for the love of God get them to work. I know you guys probably get this a lot but I really need someone to walk me through this stuff. I tried reading through the wiki but I just get so confused. Please help! |

Try the 2 disks I have uploaded to the Zone
Instructions on how to access the zone here http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=vb_...ezone_faq_item Just look for Spaceward Ho!.7z and my username DemonHellraiser just extract the .7z and you'll have 2 other zips that you just load into WinUAE as disks (These should work as they're .adf's) |

I don't think ZIP's will work because the game needs to write to the disk and will quit if that isn't possible! I'll upload 2 normal unpacked ADF's to The Zone now which will work fine.

There seems to be an English version on the BebboSoft site.

He's tried those already StingRay and he can't get them to work, well, at least that's what it says in his first post.

Okay dang now I'm stuck.
It asks for my name, company, (all in German) and then asks if I've sent in the warranty. I can't get past this page |

Ah! Sorry Sting, didn't read back what he linked too, I just took it because it came from the same site that's all. My humble apologies

I had a quick look. Even the so called "English version" appears to be in German. When the prompt for Name/Company appears just type anything, just make sure the name consists of 2 words (e.g. "Who Cares"). You can click OK then and start the game. |
