Can't get the game hammerfist to work

Hello,

I just dug out my old Amiga 500 to find my old Amiga game called Hammerfist no longer works. A friend said download Winuae and get hold of Hammerfist in adf format (hopefully I am licensed to do this) but I can get it to run, it looks like it is loading be nothing happens. I've given the game 1mb and I'm using the OCS chipset.

Has anyone got this game to work? I'd be surprised if anyone has even heard of it

I've managed to get my 2 other games to work nicely though - Chaos Engine and Turrican 2.

OCS, 0.5 RAM, Kickstart 1.3 works for me.

Edit: Sorry for the link. Gonzo, try ticking the 'More Compatible' box in the CPU and FPU window, that seems to make a difference.

Just had a quick try and 'Hammerfist (1990)(Vivid Image - Activision)[cr PNA][t +2 PNA][a2].7z' from the EAB file server (folder 'TOSEC/Games/[ADF]/H') works with the A1200 quickstart. Haven't tried all A500 quickstarts, but 'most common' and the one capehorn mentioned didn't work for me. A bit strange...

I got blackscreen as the OP said, when I ticked More Compatible it seemed to load as normal.

Doesn't work here with the '1.3 ROM, OCS Agnus, 512 KB Chip RAM' A500 quickstart and more compatible enabled on WinUAE 2.3.1. Guess at least one other setting has an influence if it works then.

You should check this one:

Also this seems to be a fixed version.

That's the version I tried first and it simply resets after reaching track 43

Just tried it again with the most common and the 512 KB quickstart, using the first two compatibility settings.

The A1200 quickstart mode worked! But it is windowed, how can I make it full screen and save the configuration?

Edit: sorry I'm thick figured that out, just can't get off the title screen to play now, which button is it!

Look at the 'Game ports' panel. I guess it's configured to 'Keyboard Layout A', so the fire button is 5 on the numpad
