RCross Amiga port
RCross is a racing game originally created by Franticware for the #hvdosdev2021 competition at https://www.high-voltage.cz where it won the first place. You control a small RC car on various terrains and race against time. Frca kindly agreed to share the source code, so it became a nice weekend project to get it running on the Amiga. The original game needs an 486 DX with 8 MB RAM, and the Amiga version has similar requirements. To play it you'll need a 68040 or 68060 with an FPU, 8 MB Fast RAM, AGA chipset or RTG.
I tidied it up a bit, and now the public test version is available here: http://bszili.morphos.me/ports/rcross.lha The game is available for download on Aminet: https://aminet.net/package/game/race/rcross Last edited by BSzili; 01 August 2022 at 20:46. Reason: Aminet link |

Ouch, that's running very slowly If this is on an emulator, would you mind recording footage on a different config that's closer to the minimum requirements? I really appreciate the work you do, but it certainly doesn't run like this on my machine, and people would be right to dismiss the port based on the video.

Hello. Sorry for the framerate. Unfortuanely I do not have Amiga with CPU 040/060. Nevertheless I will try to record the video once again with a better configurated emulator WINUAE. The game is great though! |
