Have to power on several times to get Boot work on A1200

Helo!!!

Thats it, 5 or 6 times i have to turn the power on/off/on to get the A1200 start booting right, every day, when the machine is cold from the night before.

In that 5 o 6 fails, the power led stays in solid green always.

Finally, the A1200 dimm the led to a light green and the proper boot goes right.

During the day, if i power off for a while and then i power on, it boots right to.

Any ideas???

I think you will find that your electolytic capacitors are probably in need of replacement starting with the ones on the 555 timer chip circuit. there are lots of threads on repair/replacing them

Another thing to add... it seems that the problem happens only when i have the IDE cable inserted with an SD adapter working as a replacement of an HD.
When the IDE cable its unplugged from the main board, the A1200 boots at once.

I order a seccond IDE cable and a CF adapter, so i can try differents combinations at startup and see if the problem continues. And if it does, i will go out for a recapping like you said.
