More Amiga 1000 in Miami Vice, season 3 (computer has been turned off mostly, in the background prior to this). Also, they've connected a tiny monitor to it:
EDIT: I should mention these episodes are from January/February 1987.

I like to think that during their lunch break they get some Defender Of The Crown action in.

It's great that they also advertised the Amiga brand itself, in the third picture in #242.

Around the 10 minute mark of this movie is a clear look at an Amiga 2000 set up. Too bad when they show the screen it's Windoze 3.1. You also see the Amiga 2000 keyboard again near the end.

Finished season 4 of Miami Vice, that Amiga 1000 is in every other episodes, usually in the background, but here are some "extra" visible appearances. This images are from episode 14, 17, and 19. Just check out how sexy she is in the third picture, with that extra disk external diskdrive. Thatn's my amiga.

Would be interesting to know the story behind Amiga in Miami Vice.

Did Commodore pay for the Amiga to appear, or was it just a coincidence they used an Amiga?

Today of course this would have been an advertisement type deal, but in 80s TV I'm not so sure that was always the case.

Finished last season of Miami Vice now, I notice half way through the season, the computers tend to be Apple comupters, rather than the usual Amiga 1000.

However, in episode 16 they infiltrate a neo-nazi group that's running a high tech opration, using Amiga 2000.

This concludes my posts of the Amiga on Miami Vice....

Ted K (2021)

In the 2021 film about the Unabomber, Amigas are featured quite prominently.

In the computer store where he is faking interest in a computer, and later kills its owner with a bomb there is one Amiga 1000 and one Amiga 2000.

Amiga 1000 runs a game, can anyone see what game it is?

The Amiga 2000 seems to have the title tree-logo from Blade Runner for some reason.

In the film the salesman seems to steer him away from the Amigas to a PC AT . Not that he had any interest in buying a computer anyway.

In real life it happened at 12/11/1985 at Ren Tech Computer Rentals in Sacramento, California. No idea if they had Amigas or not, and if its accurate time wise. But clearly they spent some time on getting gear for this scene.

There's companies that specialize in leasing out props for movies, so I don't think it took the producers very long to just call that company and have them deliver what they needed for that scene.

I can't quite make out which game that is - it looks kinda familiar. The graphics look a bit too fancy though for a 1985 game.. Oh, and Amiga 2000 didn't launch until 1987.

Might check this movie out, watched the Oklahoma City documentary film years ago and that was good. Some of these 90s anti-govt people were batshit.

In the season one final episode of "Sledge Hammer" (US TV comedy series in 1986/87, similar to "Police Squad") detective Dori Doreau uses an A1000 as a sketch artist to display and print out a picture of a girl in a bikini. (I've got it on DVD)

The episode is called "The Spa Who Loved Me". The A1000 is shown between 6:30-8:20.
