coders wanted for shenandoah
All right folks, this is it!
Olandrobo is going to look for the source code of shenandoah during the holidays and graphically, he's all ready. Now we need a team of coders to put it all together and to raise shenandoah out of the limbo and into it's future glory. WHO'S WITH ME? |

I have mailed Bert äh wepl if he is able to do this. I wait for his answer. But I think he has no time to do this, too busy with WHDLoad. |

Yeah as above, what needs doing. I don't think coding is the problem, surely later level design is more the pressing issue.

If I recall well, orlandrobo was nearly all set: he had the level graphics and the level storyboards indicating which enemy would appear where, etc.
He also said the game was supposed to be 5 or 6 levels long. |

Now there's a typical requirements spec. - tells you roughly what the project is about but nothing useful for actually coding it
OK so the storyboards and graphics exist - does the engine support all the planned enemies? What about special enemies like level bosses etc. ? How well tested and debugged are the base sound, disk, copper, blitter, control etc. routines? How optimised is it? |

I think we will know more about the source-code after christmas. As far as I know orlandrobo will meet the coder over christmas.
@Galahad: I have ask bert if he is able to do this project, but he is too busy with whdload. He has over 200 requests in inbox. Maybe you are able to finish this game for amiga, aren`t you? Bye nujack |

Ok, so I just noticed that this was an extra thread regarding Shenandoah. (Thanks Damien. )
To be honest I don't know much about what needs to be done coding wise. What I do know is missing from the demo is extra weapons, scrore system, bonus objects, power ups and that the memory routines were never finished, thus requirering more system RAM. I guess that's just an issue if it's supposed to be playable on an actual Amiga 500 or just in an emulator environment. I'm now back in my old hometown and will start tracking down the coders which I haven't met in many years now. I'll keep you posted. |

The guy who programmed it has the code but it's been 13 years and a lot of moves here and there. I will call him up this week and see what he says.
I'm keeping my thumbs crossed! Stay with me! |
