CD32, SX32 Etc
Hi folks, I stumbled across this place today whilst searching for an old Amiga game. Whilst here, I thought I'd ask for some advice. I recently came across my old Amiga gear stored in the bottom of a cupboard, and am curious if there is still a market for it (IE Ebay etc).
Unfortunatly some bits are missing, but what I have got is a CD32 with SX32 module, with 8 meg ram, Original Black CDTV Keyboard, Cumana External Floppy, Trackball, and Scart Cable. I'm pretty sure I have the 2.5-3.5 IDE Cable, but unfortunatly no HD for it. I seem to be missing the Joypads though, and have no software (I think I left all that in my old house ). Also the PSU has seen better days. (The original PSU didn't provide enough power, so I modified an old AT one. When I dragged it out of the cupboard, the plastic on the fan was that brittle, the fan fell out). I will rip the cupboard it was stored in apart this week some time and see if the missing pads are in there, along with another 2 floppies I remember having. I've tested it quickly though and it still powers up. If get rid of it, what sort of price does this stuff go for these days, is there much of a market for it? Thanks in advance |

CD32s are fairly common, but there's definately a market for the SX32, and especially the SX32 Pro. Not sure of the going price as they are scarce on eBay (although Eyetech had a few new SX32Mk2's in stock last year selling for ~$200US).
I'd be tempted to make an offer for at least the SX32 and maybe the whole lot if you'd be willing to ship to the US. Send me a private message if you're interested. |

Well I have tested this stuff recently and all works fine....
Apart from, the Trackball has had it, but I have an original Amiga mouse that works fine. I also remembered that when I used to run a BBS on this thing, that I was sent a firmware upgrade for the CD32 CD-Rom drive. I installed it, and it turned out it wasn't an upgrade for a CD32 (Sony) Drive, but was for a Squirrel drive. Therefore the CD32 CD-Drive now runs very slowly (It seems fine for data transfer, but it sucks at playing CD32 Games) Also When I ran the BBS, due to the cost of HD's at the time, I opted for a larger 3.5" drive. Therefore there is a cutout on the CD32 to allow the Thicker 3.5" cable to connect to the external HD. And finally the PSU has long gone, I adapted a very old PC PSU, (for both power to the CD32 and an external supply to the 3.5" HD) But with age the Power to the CD32 & SX32 is fine, my soldering on the external 3.5" supply has come indone. Anyway, enough of the honesty, now down to the gritty nonsense of "Any Amiga enthusiasts interested before it goes to the slaughter house? (Ebay)" The plus things are, the Keyboard (BLACK CDTV) works without a need of an adapter and obiviously includes the "A" keys. It comes complete with an extra (Working 8 Meg of Ram) taking the total up to 10 Meg! It nearly caused a divorce (Nearly with the 2nd girlfriend. It definitly caused the split of my first child bearing wife) Therefore it's a piece of history I will post to anywhere apart from Nigeria, Somebeckiztan, and The Principality of Sealand. If anyone wants anything from this, I will (Unhappily) rip it apart and sell seperates... BTW People that have already PM'd me may take preference and therefore I may not have the items to flog. Any Questions, PM me or ask here Piccies below..... http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00203.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00206.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00208.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00209.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00210.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00211.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00213.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00214.JPG http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Lukey03/DSC00215.JPG PS I would much rather this went to an Amiga enthusiast rather than an Ebay freak.. All offers welcome |

I'd be interested in the SX32. Good addition to the Thalion Webshrine Hardware.
