Looking for PAL version of Imagine 4

I have scoured the FTP and found multiple NTSC versions, but I would like to find the PAL disks. Does anyone have ADF's of them per chance?

Imagine 4 was distributed on the January 1997 CU Amiga coverdisks. I assume that would be a PAL version.

It's not the retail release, but it's something.

Great stuff, thanks Matt H. I forget that almost all Amiga software was eventually a coverdisk. I had left the scene by 93 I think. Thank goodness it lasted so long that all this software was on cover disks, it helped ensure they were saved.

Glad to help! It struck me as a bit odd that NTSC versions are more prevalent, given how Europe-centric the scene is. Plus I thought Imagine itself was written by UK developers? But yes, three cheers for coverdisks!

So guess what. That was the NTSC version as well. Tried the CD and the floppy disks. I am now wondering if they maybe changed things up at version 4. I am going to try the PC version that I have and se ewhat it says. I always thought it was an U.S.A design and coded product. Another thing to look into. Back with results soon.

The integer exe says its a pal version but both fpu/int versions open on a 640x512 mode anyway although it seems to want 640x480 in its own prefs. the default UI setup wont even fit on an ntsc x480 screen.

I suspect it might be a mistake in the about dialog. I need to double check, but by that time in Imagine's life, combining the two versions would make sense. A lot of Amiga systems were working on multisync monitors by then. The PC version was up and running by then as well and a lot of the documentation talks across those two platforms inter-changably.
