Anyone adding formats to kaffers Disk-Utilities?
While not strictly an Amiga program, kaffers Linux Disk-Utilities is able to take Kryoflux stream files and convert them to the IPF format, not the same as sending them to SPS but the IPF contains all the information to make it run under emulation like WinUAE with IPF support or to be written back to disk!
The one downside to this is (apart from it's a Linux program) the format of the disk has to be added manually, so the streams have to analysed and if the format is not already known to disk-utilities it has to be added, which may take some doing and obviously by someone who can code on Linux platforms! kaffer has added quite a lot of formats, I've also sent him shed loads of dumps and he's managed to get most of them added but not all as he, like many, has a full time job and can't dedicate all his time to it, plus anyone is able become a contributor and modify it, see his GitHub project page: https://github.com/keirf/Disk-Utilities So, the question is, is anyone willing to start adding more formats to this (or port it to windows) if given the dumps? Seeing as self generated IPF creation in DTC is not here yet (Coming Soon, apparently ![]() Maybe this is better moved to the 'Coders. General' forum?
