This would help a LOT I think.
Many newer demos need this, and since they are so big, they will only run from a HDF or HD directory. BUT to make it run, it is also always necessary to put a setpatch from the WB into the / or the :c/ folder of the hard disk image or directory to make them work. Since we already have a built-in memory monitor, why don't we have a built-in setpatch yet? ![]() This will also make life easier for people like sjakie from the Demobase project. HOWEVER, I do consider that we might run into trouble because setpatch is a component of WB and thus appears to be under copyright; in the current case, under Cloanto's. Yet it would be a provably good solution for demo guys. |

What's the problem to have Setpatch in the C: directory? I don't really get it...

You mean to change setpatch on the fly trough WinUAE?

No. Causes too many problems than it solves. (like booting from hd that have different setpatch version and/or different parameters..)
