If you like K240 ...

I've been searching for the PC version of K240 for years now and still no luck.. but... I've found a game called "Fragile Allegiance", it's a sequel (or a remake) of K240 for PC, from Gremlin itself.

It adds better gfx and sfx, biological weapons, new aliens (You can play against up to 6 aliens at the SAME TIME.), diseases, epidemies, a market much like Elite (You can buy stuff and sell for profit), black market (for illegal goods and weapons), and there's a lot in the diplomacy side (Like making treats and allies).

VERY recommended (Even more if, like me, you think K240 is the best strategy game ever done), you can get it at

www.theunderdogs.org (search for K240 and you will find it)

Ok, just tried going through the registation process on the website... It's absolutely rubbish just like you've said

Anyway, just read the first post by Shatterhand again. He's after the PC version of K240 and mentioned that he's already found Fragile Allegiance...

The site you linked to has Fragile Allegiance - K240 so it's useless anyway

I just did a search on eMule for K240... I found the Amiga version (Disk 1, 2 and 3) and another file K240.zip but it's only 1.76MB, don't think this is the PC version

There's a WinRAR archive on eMule that is 450MB or something... I couldn't be bothered trying to download this but if people really want it then I'll add it tonight?

Might take a few days / a week or so but...

Ok, I'll fire up the old eMule now

As I'm sure you know though, you have to be patient with peer2peer clients

Always wanted to play K240 but being that it's fairly depthy i only ever got to the point where you can't build anything due to not have funds moved.

3 days ago i finally sat myself down to properly play it and now i'm really looking forward to trying to finish it.Always loved the atmosphere but never been able to understand it until now.Now that i'm older as well i seem to apreciatte strategy more so also looking forward to playing UFO.Supremacy i loved anyway because i could play that one and Deutros is probably one of my fave Amiga games anyway - not that i'm very good at it but the atmosphere again is something special.
