Normal 8-meg populated RAM cards sell for about £10 ($20) so it is about 2x the price of a normal RAM card.

But it has SCSI (I wonder how useful it is on a desktop a1200. Better than a1200 ide ?) and possibility to upgrade till 32mb. I wonder if it has pcmcia issues ?

I dont care what BBoAH says it is impossible to upgrade a 68EC020 (as in A1200) to 32Mbytes
This card has a limit of 8Mbytes just like every other. |

Had commodore used a regular 020 it would have had 32-bit address space, but ultimately cost more. Also I dont think this RAM card is PCMCIA friendly meaning 4-mbytes is the maximum size if you want to use a PCMCIA card. Last edited by alexh; 11 December 2006 at 13:08. |
