looking for AmigaBasic Interpreter

Hi there,

I just bought the Amiga Forever Package, and I really brings back some nice memories of my childhood.

But it seems that the Amiga Extras Disk is not included. I am looking for the 1.3 Version, and especially for the AmigaBasic Interpreter, that was bundled with my Amiga 500 back in these days.
Unfortunately, I gave away both my Amiga Computer and the software when I began to feel too old for the Amiga...

Is there any way to get the Interpreter? Of course, I'd like to get it legally.

By the way: You don't have to tell me about the quality of the interpreter, I know that. It's just for the sake of the memory.

Kind Regards,
phil

Actually....seeing as you HAVE the Workbench legally...... I would think the Extras-disk floating around various places wouldn't be illegal to download.

After all, you've paid for the Workbench, why not get the "whole" Workbench?

Sorry, but that's really an ANNOYANCE from Cloanto!
You pay so much dough for this old crap, and don't even get the COMPLETE WB 1.3!!
My opinion about this "dump" has again changed into "even more negative" from this day.

Phil it is NOT in the zone..

It is easy enough to find this stuff and EAB rules dictate that any kickstarts and WBs are NOT uploaded to the zone.

Just because Cloanto didn't supply the complete set doesn't mean EAB can..

It, along with just about every other KS and WB version there is were posted within the past 2 or 3 days to one of the usenet newsgroups. They have a tendency to appear there from time to time.

Thank you, but I already learned that you can easily find this kind of things if you try out more than one Web Search Engine.

I know that it is against the site rules, but if the guy has the registered amiga forever, and therefore a license, it shouldn't be wrong.
This is only my opinion, and i'm not going to entitle anyone to do that...

There is no way to prove he is registered, and if it wasn't supplied with AF when registered who are we to supply it..

He'd need to contact cloanto!

I just sent off an email to Cloanto, to ask about this problem, the answer is here:

-----

Dear Brynjar,

Thank you for your order.

We have tried to license Amiga Basic from Microsoft, but without success
so far. We are still trying. This is just one of the items that we have
to license from different entities. Some of these you already have, like
the Amiga speech synthesis, whereas others are harder to obtain.

As for the 2.x and 3.x disks, you will receive them with a free upgrade
to be announced within a few weeks (it will be free to all Amiga Forever
2005 users), hopefully.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Regards,

Michael

:Edit: just sent a comment to MicroSoft..... DAMN it's hard to figure their site out

EDIT! POST NUMBER TWO HUNDRED!!!! I'm such a spammer, ain't I ? :P

Phil..... instead of AmigaBasic... maybe you should try this instead?

http://www.idiom.com/free-compilers/TOOL/BASIC-6.html

ACE Basic, mostly the same as AmigaBasic, only it's free and on the AmiNET

You're not missing much by not having AmigaBASIC anyway - biggest load of crap. It was such a buggy interpreter and there are far better implementations of BASIC on the Amiga.
