Probably because it is all in original boxes !
Collectors pay quite a lot of extra money for these.
Also the 2002 is a rare but very good Commodore monitor, at least from what I have heard. I think it has special phosphor that keeps lit for very short time, which makes the picture look like if it was displayed at much more than 50Hz

Anyway, the seller put it in for 10$. And even if he had put it into Ebay for let's say 200$ and found a buyer then I still wouldn't blame him, but rather say he has made a clever deal I think everyone who buys something has to know for himself how much money something is worth to him. As long as the items are like described ( working condition ), I don't see any problem.

Boxes or not the equipment isnt worth the money, especially since it doesnt look like all the original documents/manuals and stuff are included.

I would say having a A500 in mint never used condition in the original mint box with all the manuals and cards as it came direct from the factory is worth more then a yellowed A500 thats been used for a decade.

EBAY is great for screwing the first time buyer that doesnt have a clue what an item is worth, but then again thse people will always be getting screwed by others for the very same reason. Live and learn , im sure this person isnt going without food to buy the amiga.

I don't blame the seller if what they describe and photo is what is sold!

I blame the buyer(s) if they are willing to pay that much then surely they know a bit about what they are buying!

If the seller is selling pirate/knackered or incorrectly described, then it IS theft!

If the seller is selling something described incorrectly then the buyer has the option of canceling the deal and/or a refund I believe. Switching GeeBee to Bee Gees is a typo, not a blatant ripoff.

Why should people know what they are buying and its value? Takes all the fun out of people selling junk on ebay, or people selling used cars, expensive "art" etc.

Most the people who are buying up Amiga's nowadays are collectors or enthusiasts, and generally speaking they have an "idea" of what they are worth.

Obviously there will be a few people who remember their youth/childhood and want to re-kindle some of those memories, these people might be duped into paying over the odds!
