Minimig question

I hope this is the correct forum for a question about the minimig. I would like to replace the 68000 with an original chip. Does it matter what mhz the chip is as I still want it to run at 7mhz.

Any 68000 8MHz and up will work, the clock speed is dictated by the oscillator on the circuit board, not the processor itself.

I have a MiniMig v1.8 and finally got myself a genuine and brand new Motorola MC68HC000P16 on e*ay. it has crazy overclocking potential as it runs rock solid up to 42 MHz. on MiniMig I can press CTRL-ALT-(minus or plus on numeric keypad) to switch between normal (7 MHz) or turbo.
