Getting the hands on the programmed modes was like opening Pandora's box.

Thanks Toni!
I'm one of the probable "few/several"...that Can Relate or Do understand and are following along, here and there. Enough to remember something about Amiga coding, or...enough to follow along.

I also know that Toni isn't alone...users as yourself and others from "back in the days" are also helping.

I don't think Anything Toni is doing is *easy* or "weird". It's about Passion.

I'd also say 'devotion'...

While I'm not a coder on the Amiga, I have been around the emulation community a very, very long time, and you get to see the authors who it's a buzz to and the authors that put every ounce into it. I'm grateful to all the authors, but I see the one's that go that extra mile.

I also see the users that do the same...We appreciate all of you..

Yep, in newer betas I need to disable "Hardware sprite emulation" to have the cursor.

I remember that back in the days everyone said that emulating an amiga wasn't possible, because of all the custom chips, bus timings and all...

Many thanks, in fact it is from beta 20 that you must deactivate "Hardware sprite emulation".
There is still the problem with the virtual mouse driver, where it is not usable for windows that you cannot move.

Is p96 uaegfx an update that you will do on WinUAE, or does the user have to do it?

- Ok for Hardware sprite emulation, now the arrow of the Mouse is visible even if the option is active

- About "virtual mouse driver" the problem remains, I attach a small video 358 KB that shows the problem.

- Version "winuae.7z" sometimes corrupts the graphics on the WinUAE GUI (rarely happens, but it could be my PC), see screenshot

No, AROS needs to be updated. Current "fix" is only a workaround which will be removed later.

You forgot to mention when did it start (It can't have anything to do with missing cursor). And was that AROS only?

Probably something to do with your PC.

The Arrow problem disappeared starting with v4.5.0 beta 20

Virtual mouse driver problem "since always" even with old WinUAE 3.x versions but "only on AROS 68k".

So why post it in this beta thread? Beta thread is not for old bugs.
(and almost surely this is some AROS feature and nothing to do with WinUAE)

Yeah but rule has always been: a) last working version must be always reported (and it is always earlier beta because of next rule) b) if bug is in older version: not in beta thread.

But this is enough for this topic. Back to normal "legal" bugs, thanks

There is an image shift problem with BC-Kid (at least since b17) in windowed mode (720 * 568) and without scaling ( or default ) (pic 1). Edit : Quickstart A500

No problem with WinUae 4.4 under the same conditions (pic 2).

Note : the savestate is ingame.

Edit 2 : since b1.

Hi Toni, would it be possible to change the title / screenshot priority in the next beta as mentioned here: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=89014

That's ok, it may be a language thing.

There's an old unofficial rule that you never ask the author when it's going to be out as it can be seen as putting pressure on the programmer. Every author is different, some don't mind, some DO mind.

It's all a bit tongue in cheek, we joke about release times but as there's a major rewrite going on with Toni at the moment I think we should not prod the crystal ball owning writer

Finding all the little issues and nailing them down must be infuriating.

Take what I wrote originally as a bit of a joke, there's no set rule its just a thing over my many years in the emulation circles that can raise the blood pressure

Paul..
