I am after long tests of the three tf1260 cards. in each I have rev 6. unfortunately demos in 79mhz are much slower than on any 50mhz card. the most common symptom is 25fps instead of 50fps and frequent flickering of a bad color palette. is it all the fault of slow access to the chip? We recently made comparisons by running demos on three amiga machines - warp, v2 and tf1260. tf1260 really did not do
nevertheless, I am glad that these cards are new and quite cheap. I hope that the firmware will be corrected, so that at least another 50 / 60mhz card can be used ... 1) tf, 2) v2, 3) warp https://twoj.szajb.us:442/index.php/s/KtfseyKdCbpnqR6 |

I think you just need to give it some time. I have every confidence that if and when Stephen feels like tweaking the firmware, he can do it, and it will be pretty much perfect! People need to remember this is a "project" and not a product, as per other TF boards. If we don't get a new firmware, for LC CPUs its perfect as is. I am more than happy with the incredible speed of the latest firmware, and the super fast EHIDE. EDIT: The other point I would make - If someone is unhappy with their TF1260 - just sell it, it will sell easily I'me sure! Last edited by GadgetUK; 24 July 2021 at 12:00. Reason: Final Point |

Don't think TF made any great promises about the card or firmware other than it being (for a 060) a low cost card that enables people to get a 060 without selling a kidney. And that is exactly what it is what he delivered, if a firmware upgrade happens it'll be a bonus and I'll find a way to get my card updated.

I've tested a couple of games (both WHDLoad and with their own installers) and haven't noticed any issues. But I'm not really a gamer so my sample size will be pretty small.

Hello, so what is the startup-sequence command for cpuspeed?
Mine cpuspeed runs fine from CLI, like cpuspeed speed=70 and I got 62.5 MHz sped But as soon as I put it in SS, like c:cpuspeed speed=70 NIL> I got "program failed" at the very beginning of loading Tried it with both versions, from Stephen and recompiled one, same result |
