Hmm. Trip Hawkins messed up on this one. Regardles, there were a good number of nice games such as FIFA Soccer, Alone in the Dark and MAdden Football. The racing games were quite poor. Oh, lets not forget Gex and Panzer General.

Any EXCLUSIVE 3D0 games? Those are just PC ports.

Gex was a 3DO game first Whore-kira
Here is a nice site with 3DO reviews. Lets see how many are dedicated 3DO games.

Oh yes, and the 3Do version of Road Rash is light years better than any other version IMO. Just as FIFA is.

I always thought the PC versions were 3DO ports

Road Rash, The Need For Speed, Super Street Fighter 2X and Fifa are the only good games I remeber playing on 3DO.

But I remeber a game called "The way of the warrior", a beat'em up with digitized gfx. That was one of the BIGGEST CACK I ever played in my whole life. I will never forget that game.....

You are correct, Shatty. It was horrid. And all those games you mentioned were indeed ported over to the PC, whose versions paled to the 3DO counterparts. And another game that ws great on the 3DO but poorly ported to the PC: Return Fire. Reason enough to but a 3DO.

5 games.

Anything else?

It's surprising to know that people from the Amiga team took part in the conception of this thing. Was it really good technically (and therefore, a missed opportunity), or was it just a loada bolocks?

I'll give the 3D0 credit for this: it has the most unapropiately named game EVER:

You just dont put the words "Ballz" and "cut", and make a link to a person, in the same phrase!

LOL

Man, I didn't know there was a "Director's cut" version of Ballz! I like this game on the Mega-Drive, it's an interesting concept for a fighting game Wonder how the 3DO version is like

Oh yeah, I forgot about Return Fire. Very nice game indeed. If I am not mistaken, there's also a sequel for PC too.

There was one brilliant gem only few knew about. This is especially interesting for Amiga fans (remember, it's the Amiga board ). It was the conversion of Another World for the 3DO which was a completely revamped version with sound and gfx not seen or heard on another console. The gfx were repainted in 256 colors and only appeared on the 3DO. It's the ONLY reason I still got my 3DO. There was never another game which really stood out for me.

I need to add a 3DO to my collection of Amiga's and Lynx. 3DO was a nice game machine too bad it failed. Still loads of nice used gamers available for it. I would like to see that version of Another World.

Hey! I remembered a 3DO game that seemed to be good, it was in 3D, you had to push blocks and stuff.

It seemed a bit like a Chip´s Challenge in 3D

Anyone knows what game is this ?

I can't see the screenshots very well, but the name "Gridders" rings a bell, that's probably the game.

Anyone ever played that game? I saw it a few times running, but never played it, and for me it looked to be a pretty good game.

UIhmm... I thik this is a port of the BRILLIANT Apple //GS version of Another World. It had extra SFX, music and more colors.. and it is THE version IMO.. most cinematic than any of the others...

We used to connect my cousin's //GS to the amp, and that shit would scare teh hell out of us when a critter would come to get us

No clue really, I'm not much into emulation anymore. But if you happen to find it please let me know, it will do much good to my //GS

I remember Twistin mentioning a TOSEC //GS flow on the newsgroups once... so there is a //GS TOSEC set somewhere!
