New 15kHz monitors
I found two new LCD monitors that support 15KHz PAL & NTSC RGB through the VGA connector.
They are Philips 221S9 (21") and 241S9 (24"). They support both VGA and HDMI, and can be set to display in 4:3. There are some mild jailbars that can't be removed, and interlace jitters as expected. Otherwise they work well, even though the specs quote a minimum frequency of 30kHz. Available from Officeworks in Australia. Don't know if they can be found elsewhere. Here is a pic of a 241S9 displaying Sysinfo in PAL. |

How does 50hz scrolling look? Jerky or smooth?

A good way to test for 50fps smoothness is to start pinball fantasies and check whether the tables scroll smoothly in attract mode, but any other locked 50fps scroller is fine really, many old intros have large scrollers in them too.

Thanks mate - $97! Looks like I will be grabbing the 21" version as a spare.
Also the aaudio input is standard 3.5" jack, not the USB I feared. This might be a very handy Amiga monitor indeed. (Too many soundbars are now USB only.) Last edited by aeberbach; 25 June 2024 at 05:34. |

Any idea if these are available in the UK perhaps under a different model number as some manufacturers use different model numbers for different regions for the same device.
I can find those models in the UK so hoping perhaps they are in the UK but with a different model number. |

I'm planning to pop into OfficeWorks tomorrow, what's gameplay like as someone mentioned earlier Pinball Fantasies?

FYI Aussies: OfficeWorks has free delivery at some price point but I was surprised they also offered free *2 hour* delivery.

I had a quick play around with one in store. Pretty basic (to be expected based on the cost) and I suspect, given there’s no automatic switching in the menu, using it with both HDMI and VGA connected at the same time would be a little painful.
Personally I’d be looking around for second hand Dells which can be found a lot cheaper (I paid $10 for one a couple of weeks ago). |

Thanks A4000Bear for reporting
It would be very useful to update one of these lists (both?): http://15khz.wikidot.com https://github.com/planeturban/15khz unify them? ... searching in two places is never convenient |

on github new requests are not approved so it is not possible to proceed;
so I continued the work on wikidot I synced many things between github and wikidot, we are at 289 monitors and we have reached the maximum character limit for a page ERROR: Page source too long (max. 200000 characters) ... wikidot alternatives? |
