Mort has scanned ST/Amiga Format....

My mate Mort has scanned ST/Amiga Format Issues 1-10,12 and 13 but he is missing issue 11.

Has anyone got this issue (11) that they can send him?

Once thats done I think he is going to make a start on Amiga format.

Hes away for most of next week but I when I see him after that I should be able to get the files off him and make them available to the masses.

I guess you are talking about Amiga Format. Mort is scanning "ST/Amiga Format" (with the dual-format disk), and IIRC, there were only ever 13 issues.

Have to be honest (dons flameproof suit) that I wasn't impressed with the zzap 64 ones. 20-odd notes for a load of scans (fair play, time consuming) written onto 5 cheapo cdrs, with zzap written on in shitty CDR pen, and a crappily cut out black and white copy of the cover, stashed into a plastic envelope? Quality control!!!???? grrrrr

that said - Iain at def guide to zzap64 uploaded the zzap ones to emule, so I presume it was officially mandated by mort? which is fair enough I suppose. Wonder if there's any others uploaded.

Well I know him personally and hes not making any 'profit' out of it.

Hes been scanning for about 5 years now. Has gone through 5 scanners in that time. Has recently got an extra pc and scanner so he can do twice as much in the same time.. Spends quite a bit of money on ebay buying up magazines. Has rescanned some magazines more than once due to getting better quality source material..

He could do better on the presentation I agree.. but the inalys for the DVD's (which he also designed) are on the cd's too so you can always print out your own hi-res colour copy (Mort has and they look fab) and stick a label on the cd.

Dunno cos I'm on the lookout for the Amiga Formats, can't find any other than about 5 issues in total online, fully scanned with the ads and all (not just certain pages like on the Magazine Rack, which by the way is a great website!)

This. AMR is Ok, but it's not as good as WOS, which hosts entire magazines cover to cover.

Theres only 11 Amiga formats and 5 supplements in the tosec-pix set I have as well, although it is over a year old...

So it would be nice to find a full 'set'.

Personally I really like WOS and although it might have full issues of the magazines which is great, it's not particularly easy to locate anything that isn't indexed. There's no preview scans of the pages and only the Spectrum stuff is indexed. So with a bit of tongue-in-cheek, I'd say WOS is not quite as good as AMR
