Amiga HDF in Winuae

I have been using winuae for a couple of years now but have only just noticed that there is an option to create a hdf image from an Amiga HD connected to my pc.

In the past I created a new hardfile and then copied my partitions across but having noticed the above option tried to create a hdf. I am using win xp and winuae 1.2 but cannot access the hdf image. I get the error message "not a dos disk in device dh0". The amiga drive is 340 megs with 4 equal sized partitions and formatted with the SFS file system. Is it because of SFS that it won't boot?

This is not a big problem as I have the OS and files of the HD but would like to know how to get the image to work if possible (mainly because it was a pain to edit the user and startup sequences with new assigns etc).

HDF creator creates broken hdf-file with some systems, next version will have workaround.

[and off-topic replies to somewhere else, thanks..]

@BigB:
You could mount the HDD in WinUAE and use an Amiga program like TSGUI to create a HDF image. Either a seperate one for each partition or one big one with RDB and all partitions.

@thomas:
I keep getting a "server error" when trying to download tsgui but it does sound like it`s what I need so will keep trying thank you. (Unless some one would like to put it in the zone )

@Toni Willen:
Thanks for your reply. Will this be a definite fix for the next release of Winuae?

Edit: Got it now. Had to restart windows for some reason !

West Bergholt btw.
