Question Working ADF disk5 for Adventures of Willy Beamish

Hi,
I read previously elsewhere a mention that most ADF's of the Adventures of Willy Beamish had a problem re the game crashing using the answering machine. There was a mention that someone had a working version of the faulty disk 5 that was at fault. Could someone please provide that ADF file/or website where it could be downloaded-I only need that one disk?

Thank U once more if anyone can help.

I have a 99% working disk 5 and I'm still looking for the 100% working disk 5.

99% working means - yes, of course the answering machine works BUT: the graphics are garbled when Willy takes his sister to the swings ... (look at the garden part with wooden fence).

Tataaa ... of all things, this does work in the version where the answering machine does NOT work!!
Well I confess I just accepted the garbled graphics like it was.
(but if no one can freshly transfer his working disk 5, you can also try playing with two fifth disks! )

But I believe someone can provide us with a 100% working disk 5. I'm going to upload mine now first of all.

Thumbs up

Thank U most kindly for replying Andreas! I'd also put in another ADF request elsewhere so I've probably clogged up the upload box(It was 4ADF disks file). I think I've enabled the email section when I registered & we're only talking a disk or two,(of the same disk!), so being zipped I'd imagine my hotmail would be okay-sure makes a change from the usual junkmail there!

Loved a lot of those early adventure game classics-any faves?

Exclamation Might happen that...

... you encounter another problem when the whole family are sitting at the table. This requires a working disk 9. I bet you'll need that too real soon...if so, just ask again.

Question

About that disk 9 issue Andreas, does that occur during the early part of the game? I downloaded the version from Lechuck's ADF website.

If it isn't any hassle, then thank U in advance if U post Disk 9 of Willy Beamish up.

Big grin

Thanks Twistin' Ghost!! Are there any further issues to worry about? I haven't accessed any solutions,(If there are some out there!), as I want to try & have a go without tips first.

Thanks 4 disk 9 in any case.

To the best of my knowledge, those two disks are the only ones that had any issues. Have fun! One day I plan on playing this game through, as well.

Twist, you don't happen to have a non-internet version of Disk 5? As I mentioned above, BOTH registered on TOSEC DATs have issues.
Okay, hopefully Cody will drop a positive reply here. He's the one to have the one and only working version if no one has. Usually.

Actually, I do have a non-internet version of the game, I just don't know where it is at the moment. It may be on the Amiga HD or it may be on DAT. I just picked up a null modem cable so that I can dump stuff from the 'miggy to the PC easier. I haven't hooked it up yet because I have been sick since Friday, but I will try to mess with it sometime tonight.

Yes maybe ME!

I have the Beamish disks on CD and guess what: one didn't rename to current TOSEC dat!
Yes it was a disk 5, and it's in the zone!
Hopefully that's the 100% copy we've all been hunting for
Fingers crossed

What became of this disk? Was it ok? Know this thread is very old but I can't find a 100% disk5 in the net.

If all else fails, you could simply convert the IPF to ADF using WinUAE - that disk does work.

Thank you guys. Tried the last link first cuz it looked promising and it seems to be 100% ok, no answering machine crash and no gfx glitch in the backyard
