Cheers all! I'm really happy with how the game looks and how Scorpion is shaping up!

At this point, Amigo the Fox is almost a proper game on its own rather than just a demo.

Here we go - alpha version 5.
https://earok.itch.io/amigo-the-fox This will be the last major update for awhile (probably, unless there's bug fixes needed). There's a new tileset and extensive parallax through out, there might be one or two frameskips here and there on A500 but it should generally be a lot smoother than the last version was (despite the addition of parallax, the Scorpion Engine itself has been optimized a fair bit, and the new tilesets are only 16 colors). |

Ooops - alpha 6 is out now. Thanks to https://twitter.com/Al82_Retro for spotting a broken pipe on level 2.

Great adaptation. On the other hand, it would be nice for the fox to look in front of him when he walks. This is a comment that comes up a lot in the details to be improved.

Wellll.. I'm not an artist, but I wouldn't say no if an artist wanted to tidy up the character sprites the original character does have a lot of heart and cuteness, but he was essentially designed as a drop in replacement for Mario on NES, so something with a few more frames of animations would suit the game a lot more. |
