Keep those competition entries rolling in!

I have to say the standard has been very high so far. You guys really know your stuff!

If you haven't entered, why not???

It's FREE to enter and there's great prizes on offer, including the new Cyclone VX worth £39.99.

Cos it's not an ad - I'm a member just like you.

This is a genuine free to enter competition.

Probably because you're posting a million bloody threads about it.

I'm all for keeping the Amiga alive and also for people earning money creating new Amiga products (no need to be hippies about it ), but you could just keep it in one thread where it belongs. If people are not interested, it is much easier to just ignore the thread.

It's being worked on... Various members have complained about the thread flooding by Mounty and he'll hear from the moderation soon.

Oops sorry guys. Didn't realise I was upsetting people. I'll try to curb my enthusiasm from now on.

Besides, if you keep everything about your products in one specific thread, people who are interested can subscribe to the thread and be sure never to miss one post.

On the other hand, starting new threads each time you have the chance that some potential customers miss the new thread among other new posts, which would be a bad business practice .

How would that work?

Wouldn't the thread disappear off the bottom of the screen after a while?

Every time you post in the thread it'll appear 'on top' of the 'Today's Posts' again (keeping in mind that daily 'bumping' a thread might lead to a ban...). If a member subscribes to a thread, he/she will get email notifications about any new post = it would benefit you and your potentially interested customers to keep everything in one thread.

To subscribe to a thread, at the top of the thread bar (just under the forums bar (User CP etc....), click on Thread Tools and then subscribe thread.

Ok I'll give that a go.

How often am I allowed to bump a thread?

Best would be if you'd only post news. You'll get a PM from a global moderator about it soon though.
