Hello. After a long time I decided to take a look at that amiga again. According to the TF1230 github page, I found out that that accelerator card won't work with long IDE cables. So I ordered a 5 cm IDE cable and the amiga with the accelerator card booted fine. But I still have problems.

One of the problems is that when I use more than 1 MB of Chip memory the system freezes. I also installed MMUlib and it makes no difference.

With MMUlib installed it even sometimes holds my right mouse button.

If I remove the enable 030 jumper from the accelerator card, the amiga works without any problems

Any ideas ? I can also record video, I have a capture card

The TF1260 works just fine here, so this is some sort of hardware fault. Is the card inserted correctly into the expansion slot? Try to pull it out by 1mm and see whether that helps. Is the A1200 board fine? Any dead caps?

Without the TF1230 the amiga is fully working with no problems. Caps are recapped and pulling the card by a milimeter didn't change anything. I forgot to mention that I also have graphical problems with the TF1230 enabled/inserted.

It may be worth running AmigaTestKit with the TF1230 inserted and testing RAM etc. It does sound rather like a hardware fault.

I left it running for 2+ hours, didn't crash or freeze. My CPU is Motorola MC68030RP33 (33 mhz) overclocked to 51.8. Is there a way to underclock the CPU ?

The CIAs tested fine.

I thought it would have something to do with overclocking. I just look at the card and try to look up some info, see the last 2 numbers and think "that must be megahertz, right ?" I looked it up and I was right. But I saw on retropassion's site that they sell that card with a CPU option of 33 mhz (overclocked to 50).
I bought it from ebay, not from that site.

One day I'll update on the status of that card. Maybe I'll swap the oscillator for 33 mhz, maybe I'll swap the whole CPU for the 50 mhz gold plated ones. Thank you all very much for your help, I appreciate it.

In my opinion those overclocked MC68030RP33 (33 mhz) are not reliable

Why is this a 33mhz CPU? Overclocking isn’t a good idea. I thought the TF1230 came with a gold top 50mhz version? Or were there different versions for sale?

Anyways, it could be the overclock that’s causing you the instability.
I take it the CIA test came back clean on Amiga Test Kit?

The TF1230 will only run at 50 mhz. Regarding the CPU, it depends what the builder used. Personally, I only used gold ones.

I had similar situation with my Apollo 68040 accelerator, it worked just fine with KS3.0, but not with KS3.1. So many years I softkicked KS3.1 to get OS3.9 work.

Solution was timing fixes to my rev14d motherboard.

Hi,

Please read my final message in this thread:

https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=114120&page=3

The guy who helped me with my TF1260 said my Amiga would boot when he disabled the TF1260 (by removing the pin just as you mention).

Perhaps have a look at the caps or reflow the cpld of the TF1230?
