Request: Super Obliteration

Hi there,

Someone on www.retroremakes.com is working on a remake of this cool game but having trouble with the main sprite - I think they have ripped it or something but they have managed to totally mess it up, and it looks more like a polar bear or an Eskimo rather than a Space Man.

If anyone can help and rip the upper and lower body sprite strips of this character I'm sure it would make all the difference.

Cheers in advance,

TCK

Hi 'kid, I just thought I'd say 'hello', I'm sure someone on the site should be able to help you.

Hi right back Matthew, and thanks for the welcome.

I hope someone does have a little time to grab this sprite and help out. Cheers.

Hello again 'kid, I thought that the game 'Super Obliteration' sounded familiar to me, so I went and visited the Site that you mentioned (www.retroremakes.com ).

I was right, I had played the game in the early nineties (I think it had been given away with a copy of 'Amiga Power'), it was that one which used the Sprite from 'Turrican' wasn't it?

Y'know if I knew how to 'Rip' a Sprite I'm sure that I would be able to help, but sadly I don't.

I just took another look at Turrican 2 and I believe it IS the same character sprite - has it been ripped at all in the past?

Yeah it was 'Turrican', I managed to find an original Screen-shot of "Super Obliteration" on this Site, when you get there 'Click-On' Issue 38.

http://amigacoverdisks.emuunlim.com/...igaPower.shtml.

I assume that the Sprites have been 'Ripped' before.

Apparently the problem has been solved with a rip of the character from Super Obliteration on the SNES. Thanks for everyone who looked on here.

Here is a screenshot of the remake wip...

Super Obliteration Remake

I think it looks like it's coming alone nicely. Loved that game on Amiga.
