Doubt about the Speedlink Competition Pro Extra USB Joystick Anniversary Edition.
Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you tried the latest versions of Speedlink Competition Pro Extra USB Joystick Anniversary Edition with either FS-UAE or WinUAE ( or on Raspberry Pi).
Is it true that when used with emulation you can only use one button, specifically the top left button? Or you can use it as a two button Joystick (possibly setting up the button functions)? I'm still undecided to get one becasuse of this. Thanks! |

Good day, Fenris,
I happily use one such joystick in my Pi4, using both Amiberry and FS-UAE. The truth is that you can configure and use all four buttons. It is quite easy and straightforward to configure in FS-UAE but it takes some (frustrating) experimentation in Amiberry (Retropie), especially if you want the top left button to be the main fire button, like I do. Cheers! |

Great to hear that, so it is not limited to one button for emulation.
I'd rather use the top right button as the main one instead, and the main purpose is to use it with Amibian or Pimiga on a Pi4 as well. If you can configure each button then...I don't see the issue Thanks! |

No issue at all, if you want the right button as the main one.
Enjoy! Edit: If you want to use Amibian with the Pi4, you have to get the 1.5 version, the previous ones don't work. |

Yes, I've already got the 1.5 up and running, and Pimiga as well.
The above mentioned joystick and a pi 400 tho...they might recreate a "definitive" nowadays Amiga without investing too much into the real hardware (plus recapping and so on), just my opinion |

Wow, I really got my eye on the Pi 400. If I didn't have my lovely Pi4, I would have bought it already (and I am tempted to buy it nonetheless, even having 2 Pi4's). I agree with you, fantastic Amiga experience!
