Price advice for this Jap Saturn bundle please!

Ok since i have a few Saturn's i thought i might sell one

It's a fully boxed MK1 Japanese Saturn (grey with blue buttons) it comes with all cables (RGB scart + power) and an official matching controller. The console and controller are in immaculate condition and fully working. The box is also in very good condition with only a slight bit of wear.

Included in this bundle is a new EMS Action Replay cartridge with the latest firmware revision - this cart will allow you to play games from any region, enable cheats, use as a backup memory card for save games and is also used as a 1mb/4mb switchable ram expansion for games that require extra memory.

I will also be throwing in a bundle of PAL + Jap games:

PAL:

Theme Park
Sonic Jam
A Clockwork Knight
Bubble Bobble featuring Rainbow Islands
Athlete Kings
Virtua Fighter
Street Racer
International Victory Goal

Jap:

Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory
Saturn Bomberman
Dead or Alive
D-XHIRD
Vampire Hunter (aka Night Warriors) : Darkstalker's Revenge
The King of Fighters 97

All 14 games are complete with cases + manuals and are in excellent condition

NOTE: you will need a step-down transformer to use this console in the UK/Europe. A tv that outputs at 60hz is also required (most TV's these days can output at 60hz). To run PAL or US games on this console you will need to use the included Action Replay cart

Now all i need is a good price estimate for this lot (the console alone + import costs are not cheap on ebay!).

I don't know what PAL saturn values are but I can do approximate USD values on the rest...

Working 4-in-1 AR cart = $20 USD

Boxed JP saturn (grey) = well... I'd put it at around $80-90 USD but could go as high as $140 USD alone in an auction

Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory - $15ish
Saturn Bomberman - $20ish
Dead or Alive - $10ish
D-XHIRD - Um... no clue.
Vampire Hunter (aka Night Warriors) : Darkstalker's Revenge - $10-15ish
The King of Fighters 97 - $20ish

convert to GBP and this might give you a start at least. In any form I'd say the whole lot to an American would be worth around $350-400 USD if not more

That seems like quite a bit! $350-400 USD is approx £210-240 GBP... i would sell it for much less than that all together I probably paid over £200 for the lot some time ago!
(the EMS Action Replay cart cost me about £20 from PlayAsia.com).

True, nobody would pay £210-240. Try it with £100-120.

Sell Clockwork Knight, Bubble Bobble and Sonic Jam separately, each is worth about £10 if in excellent condition. The rest I'd bundle with the console.

Yeah those games are all complete and in excellent condition (all of the games are complete and in excellent condition ).

Here are some pics of the Saturn bundle: (sorry about the poor picture quality!) and for some reason the flash on my camera has hidden the white Sega Saturn logo on the console lid!

I also have a fully modded black UK Saturn (MK1) and a nice Jap Victor V-Saturn (grey MK1)

I did have a white MK2 Saturn but i prefer the old shape with the disc access led, also the white one's tend to go quite yellow over time as does the Dreamcast!.... If that's a pic of your one then it's held it's original colour very well

Do the PAL games run at 60hz when using the AR? Do they run with any problems?

Most games on the Saturn are not PAL optimized so they will run perfectly at 60hz with the AR cart (they way they are meant to be played ).

There are some games however that are PAL optimized so you may get part of the screen chopped off at the top/bottom and the game may run slightly faster at 60hz.... but you could always just buy the Jap or US version's of these games instead

Here is a list of PAL games with the optimized one's marked: http://www.segasaturn.co.uk/games/sega_saturn_pal.html As i said you can get the US versions of these games that will run perfectly at 60hz with the AR cart... or if your brave you could get the console modified

I bought a boxed standard 21-pin UK round button Saturn which had region switches & 50/60Hz switch with all cables and two pads and the Virtua Cop 2 light gun last week for £3.99 from ebay.

It was local so I got someone from work to pick it up for me (a neighbour).

It has now had a modchip fitted and a good clean and is going to be someone's xmas prezzie.

I just kinda skimmed but a Japanese Saturn (grey or white) usually doesn't sell for more than $30~40 boxed. I have bought three so far at this price (with seamail shipping for $15 apiece).

For a Jap Saturn console on it's own here in the UK you are looking at anything between £70-100 from specialized game dealers...or you can order one from Japan for around £70 (sometimes includes free shipping but the import duty tax can be high ).

I think the demand for a Jap Saturn is higher in th UK and therefore they usually sell for more.... The US already has a 60hz capable Saturn so not many people will fork out for another that does the same. (plus i would rather have a 60hz "original" Jap Saturn than spend money on another boring cheap black one )

I should have specified that I was referring to AB Positive's US prices. I have no idea what this stuff goes for in the UK. I've bought a couple grey and a white system in the US for $45 shipped apiece (Seamail shipping of course). All of them boxed.

Some of those games are worth quite a bit (£100+)... and it's a very nice collection that you don't see everyday! The seller must have spent a small fortune acquiring some of those games

Anyway i think it's ridiculous spending more than £40 for a game on any platform (i love my Neo Geo AES but absolutely hate the prices... it's not worth it!)
