Of help? HDD preparation and WB installation plus ADF to real disks
Hi,
Hope this of use, I've created a couple of tutorials: Hard Drive / Workbench Installation Covers the steps required to physically install a 2.5" hard drive into an A1200, then partitioning and finally installing Workbench 3.0 from floppies Transferring Disk Images From PCs Shows how to transfer ADFs (located on a PC) to real Amiga disks, using an unexpanded A1200 and external floppy drive Cheers, - Ali |

That looks like a very helpful and very well presented set of tutorials.
Nicely done mate. This should definitely be stickied or added to the wiki or whatever. Awesome work. |

Well done!
Did you use a special script to create the layout or was it done by hand? I want to do something similiar for the various methods of transfer provided by the Hombre disk so I would appreciate any advice The ADF transfer could be shortened a bit (by using for example transADF which can transfer (g)zipped files straight to a disk) but it seems easy to follow anyway. Great work, I'm sure many people will find it useful. |

Hi, thanks for the feedback!
Glad they're of use. I plan to do some more at some point, things on my list are:
@ppill - the layout is more or less by hand - the tables have CSS attributes for the formatting (but the whole lot is still viewable on non-CSS browsers, looks OK enough in AWeb!), and a small PHP function to generate the previous/next/page number links. Cheers, - Ali |

Nice guides.
Killergorilla already did a great SFS Install Guide which helped me out no end. Good luck. Last edited by jabsy; 12 March 2007 at 09:10. |
