I actually never joined them, although I did a few things for/with them and the group (including that terrible ascii logo they used). I still talk to one of the members on a regular basis. Hmmm, Blue Boxing tips .. Yeah, don't do it, otherwise you'll get busted and go to court for a few years like I did.. Not fun at all! Well, they never actually got me for that, but they did get me for using another popular method of making calls which I'm sure you know about. Not done any logos in about 2 or so years. Too lazy |

The last person that asked him for an ASCII ended up in a river with concrete boots

That's only because he was standing on slightly wet cement when he requested it, and sank into the concrete at a rate of approximately 1mm per year while he waited for Rotox to finish...

So, you're still in the scene then? Naughty boy! Didn't those nasty policemen convince you that it was all bad like they did me?.. I'm pretty much retired from all the scene nonsense these days because nobody appreciates the amount of time and effort you put into things anymore. Nice to see some old names still around tho, definitely reminds me of the good times I used to have. |

No 5: Didn't he/you code some Amiga Cellular tool. ATACS or something?
I remember seeing Rotox mentioned in the greets list. |

The so-called scene is now full of people that hate intros, that will slag you off even though they've never actually done anything slightly productive themselves and just constantly moan about everything and everyone. When I first started in the scene I respected the older guys for the work they'd done, but now it is the total opposite. You can help people learn how to code/train/crack or whatever for them to shaft you later on and deny you'd even helped them. OK, Rant Over! |

The internet improved things like keeping in touch with other people without doing illegal things, like calling them or a BBS and it is obviously much faster to transfer files around. Everything was much more underground then, you had to know people to get onto boards and actually prove yourself to be worthy of getting into known groups. Totally different now, everyone can download the latest stuff, nobody cares who cracked it, how long it took or how many days were spent doing a routine for a intro/demo or training a game. Games can be dumped from disc without even having to crack it, but a group can still manage to screw it up 3 times in row. Nobody cares about quality anymore. Sorry, started ranting again |

rotox: your game boy stuff, did you do that on PC or Amiga?
How good was/is the sound chip on the gameboy, good enough to send down dual sine waves at certain frequencies? |

I was in Capital as well, the stuff was done on PC. I coded some internal tools, some of which were released later on such as tools for finding free banks or free space in carts and a tool which was used for finding memory addresses where lives etc were stored in order to make training quicker.
Are you suggesting a Gameboy could be used for boxing? Naughty boy |
