Any got CU Amigas 1997-98?

Hi all

Was wondering if anyone still has their CU Amiga magazines from this period (and a little before possibly)?

Why you may ask....

Well I feel a bit like JR Hartly... I submitted a PD E-zine for review during this period called "Like The Jumper". It did get a review (and a poor score of 60 something % !) but I would love to have a copy. If someone could have a quick look at the PD reviews in those CU Amigas I would be greatful (and possibly a scan?).

Many thanks

PS - Ive checked AMR but no luck

Did they publish the reviews in the cover CDs too?

I've got some of their cover CDs and I don't think they ever published reviews on them.

Couldn't find anything by a quick glance, '93-'98.

Hmmm, I'm 100% certain it was CU Amiga and it will have been post 1995 for sure. I wish I had kept it at least cut it out.

Hi Manicx

It was a Public Domain e-newsletter so I guess it will be in the PD utils section. It was called "Like the Jumper". It got about 63%. I'm not sure if it had a screen shot with it but it was probably one of the smallest reviews on the page.

Hoep this helps!

Thanks in advance

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had a chance to look again? I have been trying to buy a CU Amiga collection on ebay but people are understandably not willing to post 6-7 years worth of magazines!

Can you get any more info on the likely dates? Do you still have the program files and would they give you any indication as to when the review was (or wasn't) in the magazine? I'd like to help, but a bit more info would be welcome.

I wish I could narrow it down a bit. My first idea of it being 97-98 is I think wrong. I started my apprentership in late 1996 and was quickly moved onto PC's as part of my job. So I would say it is pre 1997. That is all I can remember. It was definately in the Public Domain section of the magazine. It was a e-zine type app created with Hyperbook (I think?) and was called 'Like the Jumper' (Issue 1?). I don't still have the program, I sold all my disks with my Amiga a long time ago. I now have an A3000D I am playing with.

Allow me to slip into detective mode.

Have you any memories that you associate with working on the program? Girlfriends, music you used to listen to, items purchased, family events, moving house etc - nothing that could tie it down a bit more?

Not really. I know I had stopped using my Amiga computers. I don't think I was in work so could have been 1995 - 1997 (early).

Well, I've got a few from that era - when I get a chance I'll dig them out and see if I can find anything. If you have any flashes of recollection though.....
