Bought some old games

Picked up a few boxed games on Saturday to add to my small collection. Great retro shop just SE of Newcastle UK if anyone's in the area, Games Galaxy in Consett. They had 30+ big box Amiga games and a load of C64, Spectrum tapes etc. Main market is console and especially JP imports. Had a whole cabinet of 15 or so mint boxed Sharp X68000 games!

Love the box art on Beast Busters. I had a look on HOL and they don't have a scan of my 2nd disc or the Edd the Duck box cover I have, should I take better photos and post in that part of the forum?

Also on a related note just had Silkworm arrive, the smaller 16 Blitz box version which is on HOL. The screengrabs on the back are clearly terrible, possibly taken with a camera and maybe even 8 bit versions hah

Yes please If you could get hold of a scanner that would be even better (also the Beast Busters poster and instructions would be great to have)

Got a scanner at work I could use for the scanning, photo might be better for the box. There was a warranty card and some other poster thing in with Beast Busters as well

We are interested in everything that was in the box Photos are fine as long as there's no reflection on the box.

The system requirements bubble on Edd the Duck is weird. Amiga + / A600? Yes those were the two machines available. "Amiga" and A600.

That Beast Busters poster is very scrumptious indeed.

My guess would be that they left out '500'. So that would be 'Amiga 500+ / A600'.

Yeah or "A500/A500+/A600". Because it did run on my standard A500.

Zeppelin often wrote their system requirements like that, must've been confusing to their primarily very young audience. Gremlin's were sometimes written as if the games needed the Plus too.

Great finds, I doubt Beast Busters sold much because of the delays when Activision UK went under. Even the well-reviewed games that were delayed by it such as Deuteros and Hunter seem rarer than you'd expect, so a second-rate conversion of a second-rate clone of a by-then-dated arcade game probably didn't fly off the shelves.

Noticed that the sticker on Beast busters says you need a 720kb floppydrive (not 880kb)

That's one way of telling us it's an ST port...

I don't know why that box sticker is in German. The manual sheet (which is on the back of the poster) has all the languages and the disks are English only

As for it being an ST port, the ST one has now also been ported to the Jaguar by the Atariage crew as I have it on my SD cart

In the 90's an approximation of sensibility was good enough
