Best use of copper in a game
Lionheart is obvious. But i wonder if there are other games that use it in a smart/cool manner. I've seen alot of demos using it in lots of different ways.. not just horizontal colour scale, but with vertical bars and waves and all kinds of crazy stuff.
one thing is sure. way to many games overuse it. some times it looks ridicules.. a completely bleak foreground and the the gayest of saturated rainbow copper in the background. looks cheap. |

Hmm, Turrican II's was quite nice, especially when falling vertically.

Gods for me. Most of the time all you see is a little bit through the windows, which I liked.
Also First Samurai. |

I prefer when they use it more moderately. Agony uses it very stylishly imo.

Atari 2600 had a similar chip, the TIA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_TIA The designer of the TIA went on to create the Atari 600 and 800 chips, then the Amiga chips. |
