Crazy Football vs Brutal Football: Brutal Sports Series
I was wondering what are significant differences between those two titles (except all this AGA/ECS/OCS things)? What is the story behind different names of these games? So far I came up to the conclusion that Crazy Football was released in Germany when Brutal Sports in other countries. The HOL also states that Crazy Football does not offer multiplayer play.

Crazy Football is the german title? Germany has a thing for cencoring, so maybe it's either void of blood and gore, or the title was too offencive? Brutal Sports Football had decapitations, grenades, blood, using the decapitated heads as footballs, swords, and hitting the opponent when he's already dead (like in GTA).
Could you do these things in Crazy Football? |

I had crazy football. It was english, had blood & chopped off heads and you could do multiplayer. Comparing it to the amiga action demo I had, it's exactly the same game.

So it looks that the story behind Crazy Football and Brutal Football: Brutal Sports Series is the same like Another World and Out of this World (in USA). They are the same and only the title is different?

My best guess has to do with the fact that there are no other brutal sports games. I think they dropped the idea of making a series out of them and changed the name to crazy football at some point.
The HOL or wikipedia have no further mention of this, so I guess were stuck with guessing. |

Wild Cup Soccer is a part of the Brutal series, if I'm not mistaken.

I was scheduled to work on the Brutal Sports series. Or was it Crazy Sports? Whatever- there was indeed a series planned but only the one was ever made. I seem to remember Millennium had this big thing about Speedball 2 and attempted to capitalize on it's success, firstly with Stormball and then the Brutal Sports series. |
