Connect to modern(ish) monitors
Hi there
I'm doing some research, as I got an A600, and I'm trying to get some infos about connecting it to a VGA or DVI-I port, I do have also HDMI but those ar e ultrawide only... Basically, is a 15Khz monitor a must? Or RGB to VGA adapters would work anyways (I do have a dell 2007fpb, which should not support 15khz natively)? Do converter such as Scart o HDMI/VGA work on non'15Khz monitors? Any solution that would not lead to buying a new monitor? |

I believe there is a RGB2HDMI for the A600.
Yep, https://www.arosretrofit.se/product....-for-amiga-600 EDIT: ah you want some VGA solution, there were Indivision ECS, not sure if they're still available though. |

Thanks guys, so besides the above option, let's say I'd have to get a 15Khz monitor (at this point might even be cheaper)?
Do I understand correctly that 15Khz is required for VGA only? Are HDMI (eventually) more straightforward to connect via a SCART to HDMI converter? I'm trying to collect all options I have here. |

If you can source a compatible monitor from http://15khz.wikidot.com/
Then all you need is a 23Pin to 15Pin buffered adapter. |

Alright, looks like I have an older Samsung t24e390ew LCD TV, with Scart and VGA.
I fired up the Scart output and it works, although I haven't checked if the aspect ratio can be changed. Need to try that with a 23Pin to 15Pin, waiting for one to be delivered. Let's see then, as this would be a temporary solution, to me looks like the choice is either new monitor (list above) or Indivision, well, or HDMI adapter. |

Yeah well, closed case I'd say it's a must
If the thin socket is provided by default, then it shouldn't be a big issue. The most immediate thing would be removing of the RF modulator, I'm no expert in soldering by any means haha, but finding someone to do that shouldn't be an issue. It's an interesting solution, I did a bit of research, although not ideal, the VGA port cable could be slipped out of the case avoiding to remove the RF modulator, not an elegant solution, but it will work. |

Sorry i mistyped : the thin socket is not provided by default, but some people got one from Jens via the IComp forum.

Isn't the mk3 meant for A1200 and A4000 only?
If so, this should not apply to the A600 model. |

There are Indivision ECS MK1, MK2 and MK3 as well, although IComp call them more precisely V1, V2 and V3.
A1200 Indivision exists in MK1, MK2, MK2CR and MK3. |
