Actually this should go into the Requests section, but there's no proof yet that it's really a broken disk...it could also be an emulator problem.
The Bamiga Sector One crack is spread around quite widely, but it crashes before game start. (guru)
As we had this once, in the pre-Cody version of Prison, it could also be that the disk is indeed broken.

This may be a little help...not in playing the game, but in deciding whether the disk is broken or not.

The version that is circulating and in TOSEC by BS1 may or may not have come from my version that I spread on the net...either way, they match up in TOSEC. And I know for a fact that version always worked for me on my Amiga. And another version I have of the game, which is the Oracle version (pre-release of the game), also works on a real Amiga, but crashes in the exact same place in WinUAE. So I suspect the problem is in emulation.

I'll go ahead and post the Oracle version since it's non-TOSEC and all that.

Now I got the TOSEC release working too!

I tried the config with 8.8r8 with no success (I expected that, though). The newest version of WinUAE on my system is 0.8.17r3, which crashes like a sonovabitch everytime I try to launch it, so I have just been snuggling close to my old 8.8r8; I suspect the crashing issues are down to my sickly PC problems, which I am going to try to resolve this weekend.

ARGH. I didn't write the '0821' in the config name by accident

Use WinUAE 0.8.21 R2.

Oh, I knew that was the version of WinUAE it was intended for. But I had to try anyhow.
