just to say that i could finally get my A1200 online with EASYNET CDROM , that was not so easy to find why i couldn't connect my A1200 , so i will let you know how i did :

MY CONFIG : A1200 ACA 1220 rom 3.0 Classic Workbench lite Orinoco Gold Wifi Pcmcia card


1: DO exactly what EASYNET ask for

2: ADD SOCKET LIBRARY IN AMITCP LIBS http://aminet.net/comm/tcp/socket_lib12.lha

3: YOU ARE CONNECTED

For some reasons i couldn't get AWEB (given with Easynet cdrom) to work so i'm using ibrowse.

Hello , i don't know exactly what you'd like to know , but before putting this library i couldn't connect to my NeufBox , really i don't know...

I just remembered that i red on Amibay in the thread where i bought the wifi card that this library was needed : http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=52315&page=10

AS225 is another TCP/IP stack with a different API than TCP/IP. AmiTCP's API is bsdsocket.library, AS225's API is socket.library.

This socket.library from Aminet is a wrapper so that you can use clients (programs) expecting AS225 with AmiTCP. It does not do anything for the connection. In fact you have to be connected already in order to use this socket.library.

Programs like IBrowse or AWeb which expect AmiTCP API don't need this library. There are very few programs left which use AS225 nowadays because it is out of support for decades. Actually nobody needs it any more.
