In need of a Video DAC ADV101 U30 for Amiga 1200

Hi guys, I am in need of a replacement Video DAC ADV101 U30 for my A1200, Kinmami has been doing a great job on replacing the CAPS but the Video DAC ADV101 U30 was damaged due to the CAPS leak. I have tried to order from AmigaKit but the order seems to have been lost to the abyss and they seem to not want to reply to my e-mails lol. So I am trying to find a place that sells the chip but I can only find AmigaKit at the moment. Are there any other places that sell the Video DAC ADV101 U30, I had a look on eBay and it seems like they are the 80mhz and not the 30mhz that I need. Cheers!

Hi I looked on AmigaKit, seems that the price is listed as 0. Although shows as £9.99 if you proceed to paypal?

Possibly out of stock.

This store has them but minimum order of 23 https://www.rocelec.com/part/ANAADV101KP30
Try searching for the chip number ADV101KP30, ebay throws up results. Unmarked chips though.

Thanks for the info, yeah I checked my order and paid for it on AmigaKit, maybe the site shows different info when ordering from outside the UK. Ah yeah I think I do not need 23 of them, they seem to state that they are 80mhz though is that compatible with the Amiga, I thought the one used in the A1200 is 30mhz.

Couldn't you use VP101-3BA instead of the ADV101, these are easily available. I think the only difference is ADV101 requires a zener diode whereas the VP101-3BA doesn't?

I see, I am not a hardware guy so I will check with Kinmami, at least it looks like my order is moving now at AmigaKit which is good news.

Haha, they must have read your thread here. I find you have to complain to Amigakit before you get your order nowadays.

?! How? Unless pins are physically damage then caps leak should not affect IC's - thoroughly washed IC should be fine (caps residue may remain in tight space but still washing IC with water should do the job).

The answer to this question is yes.
Testeded on an Amiga 1200 rev 1B
Change the original ADV101KP30 chipset to a new VP101-3BA
Works well.
