Fast ATA 4000 MKVII & X-Surf 100 Issues

Hello,

I just recently purchased an Fast ATA 4000 MKVII & X-Surf 100 card for my Amiga 4000D, running with a stock A3630 card @25MHz, 16MB motherboard fast ram, Kick 3.1.

When I install both cards separately, they are recognized correctly by Autoconfig, and in case of the Fast ATA, it boots correctly from a 32GiB CF card.

However, when Install both cards simultaneously, no matter the slot placement, or jumpering of the X-Surf 100 to Z2 mode, the Amiga keeps in a constant 5 second reset loop. It is not possible to enter the boot menu by pressing both mouse buttons either.

Now, when I put either the X-Surf or the Fast ATA together with an old Oktagon 2008 card (which I do not intend to use), both Oktagon and either the FastATA or the X-Surf appear in the Expansion board list. In case of the Fast ATA, the Amiga boots correctly.

It seems that, specifically, the X-Surf and FastATA do not work together in my system.

So, my question to you guys is: can somebody confirm my findings, or is there another A4000 user which succeeded in getting this configuration to run?

Any hints would be highly appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

I have an A4000D with a FastATA & X-Surf 100, and both worked fine together with the 040 card, and did not work with my 060 card. I installed the new 3.1.4 ROMs and now the FastATA works fine. So, could be the ROM.

I also have a Buster 11, which might make a difference or it might not, I don't know.
