SFS and "no dos disk" after crash

Hi !

i copy some files from CD to my CF drive "Lager" partition (formated with the SFS 1.279) at the same time the system crash :-(
After reboot to my workbench the "Lager" partition is not validated anymore (no dos disk). :-((

Is there a tool to validate my SFS partition?

thx

hi & welcome,

never played with sfs, so i cant say for sure.
there is "Smartfilesystem/SFSSalv" in "Smart Filesystem 1.277 full archive with tools and docs 438 KB" ( http://strohmayer.org/ ). i gues thats the one you should try first.

Thanks for you answer and for the greets! :-)

Yes, this tool (SFSSalv) is running on my system for 3 hour (8GB flash drive)
after 75% of reading SFSSalve comes allways up with an error "Error Code:45"
seems does not work... :-(

Hmm.. >4G drive. Are you 100% sure you really have all required updates/patches for >4G support? (just SFS isn't enough in most cases)

Anyway, first task is to take backup to prevent more damage during recovery attempts. (you can use winuae hdf creator if you can't find any other program)

Yes, the FlashDrive (8GB) worked very well since i installed NSDPatch and the newest SFS on my 030 system. Faaast booting and absolute noise less. yyyeah! :-)
I love my Amiga! :-)

SFSSalve work now, but only in fast mode deep mode produce error "Error Code:45"

The problem now:
i can`t store data output from SFSsalve anymore. Aaaargh! :-(
there are 5GB data on the defect "Lager" partition and have only 500MB free on a working partition.
Just need a tool to validate this f***** partition.
Where is Disksalve for SFS. :-(

hmm, any chance to use the CF card on a pc running winuae? this would fix the space problem i guess.
and most important, backup the CF somehow (not sure how to backup with winuae - as tony said) but any way would fit, before you loose everything.
