Most people probably don't have a case that old or that large.

I've just been out and measured my desktop beast (that will probably end up in a skip soon unfortunately as I doubt anyone would pay the postage to deliver)...

...and it's 44L x 42W x 16H - therefore doesn't meet your specs. This is a huge case as well, made from proper materials (unlike many modern "foil" cases) and is a hefty weight!

this "old" thread has gone past me without notice. I have some in the basement, shall measure them later...

Sorry Zetr0,

The only one I had was that old Compaq Deskpro 2000 (or something similar) but as you know it was a little too small

I'll keep my eyes peeled though

19.5cm is very high for a computer case, certainly more than you'd expect with a standard AT type thing. I measured my Mac IIfx, that only came in at about 14cm, though it met the other dimensions, and that's a fairly hefty case by modern standards.
I used to have a somewhat battered A2000 case, which I'd removed the motherboard from and put it into an antistatic bag for safe keeping, but I sold it, that would probably have been ideal.

I'm not being entirely helpful here I know :P

If you give me some kind of idea as to what you're willing to pay, and bearing in mind P&P will likely be huge for such a thing, I'll keep my eyes peeled at car boot sales and the like, occasionally something old and huge does appear.

to be honest if the perfect case came up, i would be considering anything upto 100 £ (inc shipping).

the case is for my 3rd amiga project housing a PCI solution of the following

proccessor / memory
Apollo 060 @ 66/80 32/64MB Ram

PCI Adapters
Voodoo 5500
PCI 10/100 NIC
Sound Blaster (hope to get 1024 working)
TV in card.

Zorro Adapters
A4001 SCSI card +8MB ram

*I do agree about the height however I measured the width of a micronik tower chasiss..

as you can see with this lot in there i want to do it right.. being a labour of love i am willing to pay a little more for the perfect box...

now i hear you say... why not go... tower its easy.... yeah... it would be..... but i have one of those.... infact if you include all the PC's in my home I have of eight ( another 4 not in use ) most of which are towered....

more to the point I already have a Micronik towered amiga, so I just wanna take it back a little old skool and go desktop..

so if anyone can help me..... i would be very appreciative

It's 31 cm in height (52 width, 45 deep).

I'm going to meet the owners tuesday, do you want me to make a effort here?

(its ugly as hell...)

TBH, the old computer above (if you can find out its details) may well be worth more as it is currently to a collector than it would be as a case alone, if nothing else I'd be interested to know the make/model. I'm guessing it's some CP/M based business machine, but it could be an obscure mini, or something else unusual.

Today I just found another old PC in one of our COMMS Rooms that has been retired

It is a Compaq DPEND-P333/3.2/W5nn US, these are the measurements:

Length: 39.2cm
Width: 48.5cm
Height: 14.5cm

Unfortunately again it fails on the height requirement by 5cm
