WHDLoad problems
Hi:
i have WhdLoad latest version installed and registered on my A4000. After 10 minutes the game freezes and i mean only the game because if i press F10 or PrtSc i get back to the Workbench screen. I experienced the same behaivour with Slam Tilt, Jurassic Park and Colonization, all AGA versions from www.whdownload.com I have the standard 040 with 16 mb config. Any ideas what could be the problem? BEst Regards Rod |

Sounds like another 040 issue.

I meant, that some EAB users reported problems with several WHDLoad games & 040 CPU. Have you tried to set the NOMMU tooltype?

Hmm, and you are not using WHDLoad with a pirated key? Because somehow I have the feeling your problems will vanish with a valid key. Or, maybe you have some extra hardware installed (network cards etc?), try disabling these.

Try the nocache and novbrmove tooltypes as well, they (especially nocache) solve quite a few 040-related problems.

Hi:
the key is 100% valid and i paid for it!!. With standard A4000 i meant the normal A4000/040 with no third party accelerator. I will try the no MMU option and post the results.. Thanks Rod |

Also worth trying might be booting w/o startup-sequence. Maybe you have some patches running which don't work well with WHDLoad.

This quite often happens on expanded Amigas. Interrupts from the extra hardware - network cards, graphics cards etc. - are the usual cause. I'm not sure theres much can be done about it

I'm trying with the nocache option.
My A4000 has the following zorro cards: 1.) e/flash 1 mb 2.) x-surf 3.) some scsi card i can't remember... I will try Colonization AGA now. update: 30 minutes without problems.. i think it solved the problem at least with colonization Best REgards Rod Last edited by Rod_cl; 30 July 2007 at 06:49. |

Disable any TCP/IP stack before launching WHDLoad.
