LHA game launch problem

Good morning all !

I have two questions:

1. I downloaded the latest version of FS-UAE (3.0.5) unfortunately unable to launch games in .lha format while with version 3.0.0 this is no problem. I have this error message:

2. I would like to download old versions of FS-UAE but I can't find them... where are they ?

Greetings !

As for the error: no idea. Maybe the log really gives you some hints.

You can browse for old versions at:
https://fs-uae.net/stable/

Hi,
depends on your system. For me on Linux they are at Documents/FS-UAE/Cache/Logs. Maybe have a look here:

I can confirm your problem, though it works fine on linux.
On Windows the temporary hd contains files where the path slash '/' has been replaced by %5c and thus the slave cannot be found.

The only way I got around this was to unpack the LHA file then pack it again as a ZIP file

Running the LHA file gives me the same error

Hello !

Effectively it works by converting the .lha archive into a .zip archive

Will this problem be corrected in a future update ?

Greetings !

The issue has been opened, so keep your fingers crossed that Frode (or someone else) finds the time to fix it.

Had the same problem ...

I had first tested fs_uae without the openretro DB and got NO lha-Whdload to run - all with the same error as described above. Repacking into ZIP: worked immediately. I've then created an Openretro user and logged in with fs_uae (download db, scan files etc.) -> now all files work as .lha - without error!

Tested with winzerde, bubblebobble, wings - all from grandis.nu

This should be fixed in FS-UAE Launcher 3.1.31.

(I haven't made proper announcements/releases of 3.1.x, among other things because it is built in a different way now and I haven't made installers/etc). But I will make a thread about how to upgrade to 3.1 soon.

Strange, never had this issues with lha archives using FS-UAE+Launcher 3.0.5. Windows 10 21H1 atm. Works fine with every game i've tried.

It wasn't a problem if you use .lha archives with the online game database (which is why it has gone unfixed for quite some time). The problem occurs if you use an .lha archive as an "hard drive" in the Launcher.
