Hi everyone,

I wanted to celebrate those moments when you think 'Only Amiga makes this possible.'

I had one of those moments when I happened across the agablaster tool.

Here my Amiga 1000 has a 'meta moment'. I'm streaming a CDXL file of the BBC Micro Live programme from 1985 with a clip about the Amiga 1000, on an Amiga 1000 in 2021, with some help from my ACA 500+. Otherwise, it's a stock Amiga 1000 with the OCS.

I should say that the phrase should rather be 'Only Amiga and the amazing Amiga community makes it possible!'

Thanks to the people behind agablaster (Andreas?) and for the guys at Individual Computers with the marvellous ACA500 add (don't tell Jens it's plugged into a 1000

)

Oh, and there's some period correct Max Headroom clips as well. I can add both to the Zone. I'll add Max as it's the smaller file. It will play on an OCS Amiga provided you use the FMODE=0 argument.

Please add your 'only Amiga' memories, I'd love to hear them!

Well, i always been impressed from the speed at which a cracktro is loaded !

I mean, you put a disk inside, and after 1 second of read you can immediately enjoy the graphics and music ..... awesome !

Well, I wrote this before but

I played Warcraft on my Amiga emulating Mac against a friend on PC over a modem back in 90s.

Doing my whole graphic design degree work on an emulated Macintosh. It was faster than the LCII and LCIII's at uni :-)

I also got told off for 'stealing artwork' that I had rendered in Imagine, the tutor's couldn't grasp 3D rendering.

I ended up helping run the after hours MAC class, even though I've never owned a Mac one!
