Flashback remake is a possibility
VectorCell, which has most of the ex-Delphine Software members, who were working on AMY lately, got to answer a question on Facebook which says:
"Will there be a Flashback port on the new game consoles (or maybe a HD version)?" The answer: "To answer your question, the idea is not totally excluded... But for now, we're working on AMY. Thanks anyway for your interest!" Source (French): http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...7220387&type=3 |

Instead of a direct remake (in HD), i would actually like a sequel in the retro style (in HD)...
...i have played through Flashback so many times.... i would like the new graphics and sound... but I wouldn't enjoy the old puzzles and old story again! maybe a providing a story link from the original Flashback ending to the beginning of its rather horrible sequel Fade-To-Black |

Wasn't there supposed to be another game made on the GBA? Maybe they should finish that as it shared the same graphics as the original and would extend the story.

But of course, the only really important question is:
(The question for any remake or follow up) How to make it into a FPS??? ;-) desiv |

ah yes the syndicate element. The developers choice to keep it oldschool or just make a fps for the masses. I know of this well lol.
if memory serves, wasn't the GBA game close to completion. Much like how Starfox 2 was ready for release pretty much. Yet scraped at the last moment. |

Don't give up on it just yet. Its done by the same people that did the Riddick games and those were absolutely not created for the masses.

On the subject of Flashback.
If you have a jailbroken/CFW PS3, someone has ported 'Another World' and 'Flashback' to it. Not sure if theres any difference between it and the original, i doubt it, but still nice to know. |
