A3000D replacement PSU

Have anyone successfully replaced the original (noisy) A3000 PSU PCB with
a modern replacement and fitted inside the original PSU case?

Yes, People have done that. You can also just replace the fan.

In my latest YT video, I do exactly this and replace the original PSU with a modern one. The details of what PSU I used and why are in the vid.

I put this one in mine after I blew it up by accidentally shorting 12V to GND.
Fits fairly neatly inside the A3000 case (only held down with one screw as it's about 2 inches shorter than the 3000), the original 3000 fan will connect to it with no modifications and it has a -5V line which most ATX PSU's lack.

Nice video, thanks. I'm still waiting for my AA3000+ motherboard to arrive. There is no mail from Finland to Canada at the moment so I have to wait.

I will be working on my 2nd A3000 case like you, fixing up the LED board - I have a spare LED PCB, but I need LED's. You can't get original LED's anymore unfortunately. I bought some similar LED's from DigiKey so we will see how well they work. But first I have to solder it all up. Shouldn't be too hard since I have an original working LED board to go by.

Which type of LEDs did you buy as replacement?
